Nien founded Trident Sailing Academy after years of instructing powerboat courses at Lake Grapevine. His passion for accessible, on-water education shaped everything Trident stands for.
He leads all AB 101 and AB 201 sessions, and personally oversees quality standards across every course.

Our Credentials
NASRLA Certified
National Association of State Boating Law Administrators certified training for every instructor.
Texas State Licensed
All instructors hold valid Texas state boating instructor licenses and maintain current certification.
Safety Trained
CPR, First Aid, and on-water emergency response certification is mandatory for all our instructors.
